Small Batch Artisan Distilled Sweet Fern Hydrosol

We sustainably harvest Sweet Fern (Comptonia peregrina) from the forests of Northeast Michigan and distill it into a fragrant hydrosol to help tone and soothe your skin. Sweet Fern is one of the forgotten treasures of the plant world- although modern herbalists rarely know this herb, Indigenous cultures across this continent have used this herb for centuries for its soothing anti-inflammatory properties and for skin conditions such as acne, rashes and eczema. Used as a toner, this hydrosol will help balance the pH of your skin before applying a moisturizer, help remove excess oil, dirt and debris and help to tighten your pores. All of our hydrosols are artisanally distilled in a copper alembic still from plants we sustainably harvest from the forests of Michigan’s Sunrise side, or grow organically in our garden. We pH balance the hydrosols to the ideal pH for your skin, then add Leucidal (a natural preservative made from Lactobacillus).
